• 40L (E size): A higher capacity version of the E size gas cylinder
• 50L (F size): A larger industrial gas cylinder for higher volume use
• 80-120L (G size): The largest typical size for high volume industrial use

Gas Bottle Types

Gas bottles come in different types:

• Type of Gas: Gas bottles for LPG or compressed gases
• Fabrication Materials or Sizes: Materials include steel, aluminium and composites.

Type of gas can affect construction because some gases are stored at higher pressures and therefore required stronger gas bottles.

LPG gas bottles are made with any of the materials.

High pressure compressed gases tend to be made with steel.

Sizes are identified by either the weight of the contents (e.g. 8.5kg or 45kg), in the case of LPG, or by letter codes (e.g. D, E, G) in the case of compressed gas cylinders.

The letter codes are indicative of size and volume.

Engineers use it.

As it suggests, the water capacity of gas cylinder sizes is the cylinder capacity of the LPG gas cylinder sizes as if they were filled with water.
