ACCC Recall - Campmaster CM1950S Butane Heater

The ACCC has announced the recall of Campmaster CM1950S Butane Heater effective immediately.

The recall applies to Model - CM1950S units with Serial Numbers - 15000001 to 15001300.

The product was sold nationally, by Supercheap Auto, between 31 December 2014 - 30 June 2017.

Serial number location

The Campmaster Model - CM1950S is a portable heater fuelled by butane gas canisters.

What are the defects?

If the product is not used in accordance with the operating instructions, elevated levels of carbon monoxide may be emitted when the knob is set at a specific position between ON and OFF.

What are the hazards?

If the heater is operated in a confined space there is a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning to the user.

What should consumers do?

Consumers should look at the back of the heater to check the serial number. If the heater is in the affected serial number range, consumers should stop using it immediately and return it to Supercheap Auto for a full refund.
