Help Plant Native Forests & Capture Greenhouse Gases
 When you choose SWAP’n’GO GREEN®, Elgas engages not-for-profit Greenfleet to plant native trees in Australia to recapture emissions equivalent to those associated with the production, transport and use of the LPG . The emissions are recaptured as the resulting forests grow.

Greenfleet is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping the community reduce the environmental impact of travel, business and lifestyle choices by adopting low-carbon alternatives and biosequestration.
Their philosophy for tackling climate change involves three key phases:
- Avoid creating emissions wherever possible
- Reduce the rate at which you do create emissions
- Offset any emissions created by recapturing CO2 from the atmosphere

Greenfleet provides practical ways for people, businesses and other organisations to prevent and minimise the greenhouse gases they produce.
Offset
Greenfleet offsets greenhouse gas emissions by planting forests that soak up carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as they grow. The forests are made up of a wide variety of Australian native trees that also help to reduce soil erosion and salinity, improve water quality and provide habitat for native animals. Since the Greenfleet program commenced in 1997, they have planted more than six million (6,000,000) native trees on behalf of their individual and business supporters.
